Another Great day of riding

Today was another great day of riding. We started off the day by having a some egg burritos. We had our morning briefing and we were off riding again. This was a much shorter day than yesterday. We only rode from Williams, AZ to Gallup, NM.

When we got to our first stop of the day in Holbrook, AZ, we were met by a grade school that came out just to see our group. It was pretty neat seeing all those kids cheering for all the motorcycles. They even had a couple people from the local paper were there taking pictures. One of the people, Linda Kor, sent me some pictures to put in my blog. Thanks Linda! The pictures turned out great.

The highlight of the day today was the “Gathering of Veterans” Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial park in Gallup. There was almost 1,000 people there to support the riders. Apparently, this is one of the areas that shows the biggest support. The city, the Navaho Nation and several military groups were all there. It was amazing to see the support and turnout there. Today was definitely a neat day!

We camped out at a state park in Gallup. It was free, but it was VERY dusty. We basically camped in a parking lot for RV’s. I guess you can’t complain when it’s free.

Tomorrow we are on to Angel Fire, NM.
